The world is becoming hectic and chaotic. How do you stand out when there are so many people and so much noise out there, especially in the world of social media?

In this article, we are going to share with you 3 ways you can stand out in a hectic world such as the social media one.

Hi there, and welcome back to Serendipity Marketing. We're a digital marketing agency with a mission to help small businesses grow by applying psychology to their marketing strategies.

Before we get started, please go ahead and follow us on LinkedIn, Facebook, or Instagram.

So, let’s get straight to it.

1. Use Storytelling

The first strategy I have for you it's to use storytelling, no matter what. It doesn't matter if Facebook changes the algorithm or something new comes out.

Like in any other social network, the one thing people love no matter what is storytelling.

If you could tell the story that hooks people driving through an emotional rollercoaster, you'll do extremely well.

For example, there's this person on Facebook who gives little pieces of information every single day in one minute in a video. And each video tells a story and it's amazing it hooks you in he talks about everything from facts about traveling different places in the world or food or just random facts.

But because he's telling his story he's getting millions and millions of views.

You have to do something similar. It doesn't have to be through video if you don’t feel comfortable. You can tell stories through text, audio, video, whatever you want, even images. A picture says a thousand words.

But if you're not using storytelling, you won't hook people in. Just think of it; this way do you remember when you're a kid growing up your mom and dad or your grandparents and they tell you these stories of back in the day?

That is the point. Stories are easier to remember, so you’re actually getting people to follow what you say in an easier way for them to even remember it. That’s powerful.

So, start telling a story in any piece of content you use on social media. You’ll see the difference almost straight away.

2. Be Unique

The second tip we have for you is you have to be unique. Don't just go out there and post what everyone else is doing, maybe using the same wording as your competitors.

Do not think that just because the social networks with their algorithms are making it harder to be noticed on these platforms, you cannot perform well.

Yes, they are making it harder, but that doesn't mean you still can't do well.

If you can't figure out how to do well on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, there's one thing that's typically in common and it doesn't have much to do with their algorithms.

It has everything to do with your content. Yes, if you write amazing content no matter what, or amazing videos, or amazing podcasts, you're going to get traction no matter how difficult or strict they make their algorithms.

So, instead of worrying about how Facebook is going to change their algorithm, you can't really control that, focus on how good and amazing your content is. And if no one likes or shares it, you can't go blame Facebook for everything. You can't blame Instagram. The only person you can blame is yourself.

Alright, now before we move on with the next strategy to stand out on social media, have you ever thought about how much you should invest in marketing to generate constant business growth? Click the button below to calculate the ideal marketing budget you should allocate for higher visibility, engagement, and profit.

How much should you invest in Digital Marketing?

So, start making better content and if you think you are doing it already but still you don’t get traction, go check out all the other people in your space who are doing amazing content that's going viral without running ads.
For example, when we make our content more entertaining, it does extremely better.

So, it is more about understanding what your audience is looking for and getting engaged with the most, and creating content along that line.

The algorithm is a software you need to teach to how amazing your content is. So, don’t expect a huge change straight away. It will be a constant growth and the more you create engaging content, the more the algorithm will learn to show it to more and more people.

Don’t just go for content where you’re pitching to others for services or products.

Also, video content works much better as it is where people can feel your personality and emotions. That’s more empathetic and that’s why it works so much better.

Do not worry if you don’t have the tools to make videos with amazing graphics or effects. Just get your phone and record a video and post it. Actually the more personal the video, the more it looks real and people feel induced to engage with it.

3. Build a Community

The last piece of advice for you if you really want to stand out from the crowd in this noisy and hectic world is to be part of the community.

We know that may sound simple and you've probably heard it before. everyone. You have to participate and be involved in the community, but not just because we are telling you to do it.

Do it because you love people and you love helping them out. When you genuinely care for people, you want to get the results even if they don't have enough money to pay you.

Because when you help people, we believe in karma and it will end up coming around. And on top of that, by helping others and participating in the community, and really going above and beyond, people are going to start speaking and recommending you to others.

You have to participate and help people. It's something that you. can't take for granted as unfortunately, most people do.

Be there for them. Provide value and respond when they come to you, alongside creating content that incentive them to connect with you. And when they do it, don’t let days pass before you reply.

We know it’s time-consuming, but on social media what works best is, guess what, being social.

And we guess that you as well don’t really like it when you contact a brand on social media and they reply after days. That just pulls you away, doesn’t it?

And that happens to your potential customers as well.

So, be there for them and be social. The bottom line here? By doing this, you won’t just be part of the community, but you’ll also build your own community full of people that love your content and know that they can rely on you when they are in need.

And this is why this point is so crucial and is responsible for great results on social media in terms of brand awareness, lead caption, and clients generation.
