How to get indexed in Google
3 Easy Steps to Submit Your Site to Google and Get Indexed For SEO
If you want traffic from Google, you first had to get indexed.
If Google doesn't know about your website, you're not going to get any search traffic.
Hi there, and welcome back to Serendipity Marketing Blog. We're a digital marketing agency with the mission to help small and medium businesses grow by applying psychology to their marketing strategies.
Before we get started, please go ahead and follow us on LinkedIn, Facebook or Instagram.
The first thing you need to do is sign up for Google Search Console. Google Search Console is a free service from Google that allows you to see your website, somewhat similar to how Google sees your website. They give you a glimpse under their hood and they'll show you things like what errors you may have, what pages they're indexing, are they even crawling all your pages? Because if they're not crawling your site, that means they can't index it.
Second, you need to create an XML Sitemap. If you have a WordPress blog, this is easy. You can use the Yoast SEO plugin, it will automatically create an XML Sitemap for you. The beautiful part about the Yoast SEO plugin is, every time you update your website, it updates the Sitemap automatically. You don't even have to be technical to create one.
Third, take that Sitemap and submit it to Google Search Console. That way Google can continually read all the changes you're making to your site, and every time you add a page or delete a page, Google will know, and they'll make the necessary changes on their end.
How to Improve Your Mobile Website Load Time
These days most of the people coming to your website are going to be on mobile devices whether it's a mobile phone or tablet device mobile devices are extremely popular, so much.
So that more people are using Google these days on their mobile device than they are on their desktop computer.
How to decrease your mobile load time
The reason you want your website to load fast especially your mobile website is because the slower load, the more money you're going to lose.
Amazon did a study and they found out that for every second their site loads slower, they lose 1% of their income. That's billions of dollars.
You're not Amazon size but still why would you want to lose a few percent of your income?
we'd rather keep it and the way you keep it is by increasing or better said, decreasing your load time.
The first thing you want to do is use Google AMP framework. What the Google AMP framework does is, it ensures that your website loads extremely fast on mobile devices. If you have a WordPress blog, there are a lot of plugins that make your website faster and compatible.
If you don't have a WordPress blog, you're going to have to do some custom coding but Google walks you through how to do this.
The next thing you want to do is use Google PageSpeed. When you put in your URL in Google PageSpeed it'll show you for your mobile device what you're doing right, what you're doing wrong and what you need to change. It shows you specifically for people who are using mobile phones and it'll break down the mobile version.

How much should you invest in Digital Marketing?
How can you speed up your website?
As we were mentioning earlier, the first thing you need to do is use Google PageSpeed. This is a tool by Google, and it will show you what's causing your website to load slow.
You put in your URL, it will analyse it and it will give you a score.
If you have an amazing score then great, you're doing a good job.
If you have a terrible score, it will even show you what to fix to improve your speed.
The second thing you should consider is using the Google AMP framework.
A lot of people are coming to your site on mobile devices. Mobile devices in many cases will make up the majority of your traffic, so why not make your website load super-fast for mobile users? And the way you can do this by using the Google AMP framework.
The third thing you want to consider is using a CDN. A CDN is a content delivery network. What that means is, they take your website and they put it all over the globe.
So, let's say someone is coming into your website from India, even though your website is hosted in the US, they'll replicate your site and put it on a server in India, so that way all the people in India can see your website right away.
