LinkedIn is a great social media to leverage for business. Whether you are in B2C or B2B, having a great LinkedIn content strategy will help you make meaningful connections and grow your business.

Like any other social media platform, LinkedIn is all about outreaching as many people as possible with valuable content for them in order to drive qualified traffic to your page.

You can use different formats for your content. But which one is better? Which one will outreach more people and generate higher traffic?

In this article, we are going to share with you one simple strategy that will get you a ton more traffic on LinkedIn by leveraging videos and growing your business with it.

Hi there, and welcome back to Serendipity Marketing. We're a digital marketing agency with a mission to help small businesses grow by applying psychology to their marketing strategies.

Before we get started, please go ahead and follow us on LinkedIn, Facebook, or Instagram.

Now before we get started, we have a quick question for you guys. How many of you guys have ever submitted a video on LinkedIn?

So, here's the thing with LinkedIn, they lack video content and they're craving for it.

So much so that if you just upload a video, you will get way more traffic on LinkedIn than you will if you just posted an update that's text-related.

We are not kidding if we tell you that, in most cases, you'll see a 4, 5-time difference.

Upload an SRT file

So, the first tip for this LinkedIn content strategy that we have for you is to upload an SRT file.

What most people don't realise about LinkedIn is that a lot of their videos are auto-play and people at work when they're on LinkedIn, they're not hearing what's happening as they have most likely the speakers turned off.

If you have an SRT file, that's all that text is happening in the videos, it allows people to follow along without their speakers on.

You could go to Rev.com, get your video transcribed and upload that transcription to LinkedIn.

Leverage popular keywords

In addition to this, when you're uploading a video on LinkedIn, you want to write a description of that video.

You can use tools like Ubersuggest that will tell you all the popular keywords you should go after.

This is the second thing you want to do.

Leverage popular keywords.

Do it not just in your description when you're uploading a video but also when you're using tags on LinkedIn.

A lot of the tags we use are like #digitalmarketing, #seo, and #neuromarketing.

These are all phrases that get searched a lot, which helps us get more traffic.

Also, an important part of this LinkedIn content strategy to keep in mind is that the first line in your LinkedIn description should be a short, one sentence.

Why is this so relevant?

LinkedIn cuts off the description and asks people to click to see more and read the rest of the description.

So, if you keep the beginning of your description short, it’s easier for users to understand the topic and engage, taking them to click and read the rest.

While if the description gets cut, it may not generate enough interest in people who won’t click as the topic of your post is not clear.

And if people click to read more LinkedIn perceives it as something that people engage with and will make your video much more viral.

Alright, now before we move on with the LinkedIn content strategy part, have you ever thought about how much you should invest in marketing to generate constant business growth? Respond to every comment

This is another crucial part of an effective LinkedIn content strategy. Most people think that it’s just about posting and that’s it.

But that isn’t correct. That’s just the beginning.

You’ll want to keep answering comments and, of course, asking questions to incentivise other comments.

When you do that, it'll encourage more and more comments.

And that's one of the main factors in LinkedIn's algorithm, they're purely looking at comments.

The more you can get the better off you're going to do.

So, encourage them and also respond to them as fast as possible right when they come in because that'll cause people to keep coming back and leaving more and more comments.

And of course, to incentivise comments to come in the first place, when you're recording videos for LinkedIn, in your video wording, just ask people to leave a comment and ask them a question.

When you do that and they leave more comments, you'll naturally go more viral on LinkedIn.
